Wenger admits Stoke Better

Stoke - The defeat of Stoke City have closed the opportunities Arsenal won the Premier League. Although disappointed, Arsene Wenger admitted Stoke perform better than his team.

Arsenal lose 1-3 when a visit to the Britannia Stadium on Sunday (08/05/2011). With this defeat, plus Manchester United's victory over Chelsea, the Gunners still sits third in the standings with nine points difference from champions Manchester United and certainly fail.

"Yes, this is a disappointing performance. Stoke competitive level higher than ours," said Wenger on the club's official website.

"I think we lost because Stoke survive better than us with more goals," he added.

"This is the Premier League. If you do not perform with the same competitive spirit in every game, you can lose anywhere," said the manager of French origin.

"Stoke survive well and make you trouble. In a match like this, we are less penetrating and not dangerous enough," he finished.
